November 18 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until December 2, 2020
About the class
Lu Jong is also known as Tibetan Healing Yoga. Lu means ‘body’ and Jong means ‘training’ or ‘transformation’. Lu Jong works simultaneously with body, mind and energy to balance the elements and humours, which form the foundation of the physical body. We transform our negative emotions, invigorating the subtle body’s system of channels and wind-energy.
Is this for me?
The movements of Lu Jong originate from ancient Tibetan teachings. However, this particular practice is uniquely connected to Tulku Lobsang who collected them into a clear, concise system, modifying them to be more accessible to untrained, Western bodies. The result is a system that can be practiced by people of all ages and abilities, with benefits that can be felt immediately.
What can I expect?
Through combining form, movement and breath, we gently work with the spine, releasing emotional blocks, strengthening the immune system, and releasing the blockages that might otherwise manifest as disease. Using breath and awareness we develop inner calm, practicing a true meditation in movement.
