Ngöndro: The 9 Preliminary Practices
September 18 @ 10:00 am - September 19 @ 1:30 pm

About the Teaching
To get the realisations of the path to enlightenment and to prevent obstacles it is important to purify negative karma and accumulate merit. Traditionally, nine preliminaries practices are done for this purpose: prostrations, Vajrasattva, refuge, Lama Tsongkhapa’s migtsema, water bowl and mandala offerings, making tsatsas, Samayavajra, and Dorje Khadro. Geshe Namdak has kindly agreed to give an introduction to these nine preliminary practices, how to structure one’s Lam Rim meditations in the context of the Jorcho, and he will give the oral transmissions of these practices as well.
