Coming Home: Honouring Our Ancestors
October 4 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
About this event
As part of Black History Month, Buddhists Across Traditions have organised a series of events entitled Coming Home. The theme is a reminder that racial healing and justice is part of everyday life. Buddhists Across Traditions have gathered Buddhist and Mindfulness teachers of Afrikan descent from South Africa, UK and USA to honour the contributions of the African diaspora to the culture, wisdom, wealth and development of countries around the world. Each event is unique, with different guests and themes, and will include meditation, talks, prayers, music and opportunities for you to participate.
Is this for me?
Absolutely! All are welcome. This event is for all those who wish to hear from leading Black voices in the global Buddhist community.
What can I expect?
This is the launch event, which will honour our ancestors in a formal ceremony held by Myokei Caine-Barrett, Ven Dr Pannavati, Ven Bhante Budharakkhita and Sister True Moon of Clear Grace with prayer, meditation, love and compassion.
