The former cells of the Old Courthouse have been transformed into small single bedrooms which are available for visitors for short periods. In fact, only 4 (four) cells are available for guests so please book well in advance.
As a Buddhist centre, we expect our guests to abide by the Five Buddhist Precepts:
- Not to kill any being and not to eat meat or fish in our facilities
- Not to steal
- Not to lie
- No sexual activity
- Not to smoke or take intoxicants, alcohol or drugs, or be under the influence of them while at Jamyang.
At the same time, please use headphones, no music or audio are allowed in the cells. Guests should be very mindful of those trying to do their practice or sleep in the evenings, especially after 10.00 pm.
